How To Share and Transfer Files Between Computers Wirelessly

You might have got tired of the outdated way of transferring your files from one computer to another by using a an external storage media such a USB drive or even connecting the HDD manually. Whether you have bought a new PC to which you want to transfer your existing files or you just want to share your documents with another computer, I am going to share with you a simple easy method to move your data files easily. The method is more like transferring files between computers on a local area network (LAN) using Homegroup in Windows 7. This can be a real headache even for the most experienced and there create a home group, share directories and files, give permissions...etc

If you do not like complicated things when you want to transfer or share your files between computers and even with different operating systems,  such as Mac, Linux or Symbia, then Dukto is the answer.

What's Dukto?

Dukto R5 is a program that allows you to send text, files, folders or URLs from one PC to another which are connected through LAN. It includes features such as:
- Clients auto-discovery
- High speed file transfer
- Multi-OS native support
- Multi files and folders transfer
- Transfers log
- Send and receive text snippets (eg. useful for sending URLs).

So, you go ahead and get Dukto for Windows or for Mac installed on both of your computer and the target computer to which you want to transfer your files. Next, all you have to do is open the application on both PCs (it will instantly recognize the other PC as long as they are connected to the same network) and then drag files and folders and drop them into the program window. Thus Dukto will begin immediately data files transfer. In the event that there is an issue to be detected, you can manually enter the IP address of the PC to which you are trying to send files by clicking the "IP Connection" button.

Besides, Dukto is not limited to only files,  but you can also send and receive complete directories and text fragments (eg. Useful for sending URL) and even text from the clipboard directly. The target computer receiving the files do not even have to click on a button to accept because they simply transfer will start at the moment.

In conclusion, Dukto is truly inevitable; This tool is fast, has a very nice interface and zero configuration, multi-platform friendly and  an open source free to use.  If you do not want to install, you can download the portable version about 9MB. Dukto has as well a version for Nokia touch phones can be downloaded from the Nokia store applications.
